This property, perched on a high rocky slope in an area known by its pine forest and breathtaking views of Beirut and the Mediterranean, is almost undetectable from the ground. It is composed of three flowing spans of livable concrete. These superposed cantilevered floors support the many aspects of the brief, which are connected by an internal ramp that runs through the villa. Open floors are depicted as horizontal incisions that add structure to the harsh environment. The cantilevered home is spacious inside and projects itself into empty space. Provocative, it surprises residents with its interpretation of the landscape. With no outer skin or envelope, it appears to be nothing more than an interior, which is all the more astonishing given how it generates an apparent seamless contact with the environment.
