Aman Tokyo Kerry Hill

84 rooms and suites with expansive city views are available at the Aman Tokyo, which is situated in the upscale financial neighborhood of Otemachi. The rarefied haven is finished with a tranquil swimming pool, a tranquil Aman Spa, and a tranquil inner garden. The hotel, which is located on levels 33–38 of The Otemachi Tower, provides easy access to all of the city's attractions, including the well-known Ginza shopping district, and picturesque views of the Imperial Palace Gardens and surrounding Tokyo landmarks.
This is just another example of the traditional Aman trait of architectural and design harmony with a respect to the local way of life.
Aman Tokyo, the sixth building created by Kerry Hill architects, deftly reveals itself through a number of distinctive design features that combine traditional Japanese architecture with modern flair. The hotel's design and atmosphere are based on the subtle interplay of light and shadow created by fusing traditional Japanese elements like stone, camphor wood, and washi paper with contemporary technology and a range of textiles and textures.
The reception's focal point is a magnificent architectural element that resembles the inside of a Japanese paper lantern and rises about thirty meters. The enormous area is 40 meters long and 11 meters wide. The Lantern, which rises six stories through the middle of the building, was made with layers of textured washi paper and stretched using a Shoji frame. The reception is lit by diffused sunlight during the day, and a sequence of well planned lighting scenarios creates a changing atmosphere in the nights.
